Turn on airplane mode and give it a try. It still works.
How it worksExtract pages or split a PDF file into separate documents, right in your browser. No upload, no server. Your files never leave your device.
Extract pages or split a PDF into separate files as often as you like, with no watermark or page caps. Because it runs on your device, there's nothing to upload and no usage to ration. Want to remove a few pages and keep the rest of the original document? Use Remove PDF pages instead: Split pulls the pages you pick out into a new file, Remove pages deletes them and keeps everything else.
It's open source under the MIT license, so anyone can read the code, fork it on GitHub, or share it. Simple PDF tools should be free for everyone.
Yes. Like all tools on PDkef, the Split PDF tool is completely free with no limits, no signup required, and no watermarks added.
No. Nothing is uploaded. The tool runs on your device, in your browser, and your files never leave it. There is no processing server. For offline use, install PDkef and let its required assets load while connected.
You can enter specific pages separated by commas (e.g., 1, 3, 5), closed ranges (e.g., 2-4), or open-ended ranges like "5-" (from page 5 to the end of the document).
One PDF keeps the pages you picked together, in order, as a single new file. One PDF per page saves each picked page as its own file, one download per page. The preview shows which you have: one frame around the pages, or a frame around each page. Switch between them any time before you download.
There is no artificial limit. The tool can handle any file size and page count, constrained only by your device's system memory.
Yes. Type the page range for just the chapter, invoice, or receipt you need, and Split extracts exactly those pages into their own file.
Yes. With One PDF chosen, the Compress button opens the extracted pages in Compress PDF on your device, with nothing to open again.
Yes. Splitting and extracting are the same operation here: pick the pages you want and choose "One PDF per page" to pull each one out as its own file, or "One PDF" to extract a range into a single new PDF. If you want to remove a few pages and keep the rest of the document instead, use Remove PDF pages.
Every one of these runs on your device, free, with nothing uploaded.
